September 8 - Carrying Place
We were planning on leaving today, however, we had lightning and thunder storms all night and woke up to a torrential rain.  We didn't want to drive in these conditions but were afraid the park might flood, the water was not soaking in and the water was up to the rims on the tires.  We decided we would stay put for the time being and see what developed.

The rain stopped by noon.  As we were too late to leave we decided to tour the area.  We took a trip into Trenton.  Trenton is a big Air Force Base.  I guess that explains why it was not such a nice town.  It wasn't very big and it was quite run-down.  We saw a few planes but the sneaky ones were under cover.  I was quite disappointed, didn't take any pictures.
