September 10 - to Quebec
The Walmart we stayed in had a Tim Hortons in the parking lot so we went there for breakfast and left Cornwall about 6:50, it was a beautiful sunny day, however long pants and a heavy sweater were in order.

We are now in Quebec and the traffic lights go across the streets instead of hanging down, also some of them are square instead of round, some have a directional arrow in green rather than just a green light (pointing straight ahead).  The roads are really bad in the towns but the highways are pretty good, some are blacktop and some are concrete.  Some areas of construction they have one lane blocked off with concrete barriers and the lanes are barely wide enough to go through and the speed signs are posted as 80 and some are even 90, I just don't get it....

The scenery is beautiful, however, we don't know what we are looking at as all the signs are in French only.  We were lucky and were able to by-pass Montreal, we had been told that the entire city was under construction and from what we could see that is true.  We were completely past by 10:00, took some of the pressure off.  The driver doesn't like rush hour traffic, we were soooo lucky.

Gas in Quebec ranges from $138.9 to 142.9.  We were lucky and filled up at a Flying J in Ontario for $123.5, however, we are not going to make it through Quebec without getting gas somewhere.

Once we got passed Montreal, the GPS went wonky on us, it wanted to go off and back on at every exit, we were lucky that Dalton had plotted the course he wanted to take the night before so we just didn't pay any attention, but I can sure see how some people get really lost.  We finally just turned the darned thing off and stuck to the Map.

We pulled into an RV Park in a little town on the St. Lawrence called Des Aulnaies for the night.  It is a very large park inhabited mostly by full timers by the looks of things.  Registration went fairly well, a small bit of English was spoken and only one word of French, Merci.
