September 7 - Back on the Road
We left Mildmay at 10:00 this morning, I know, a late start, however, Rebecca didn't have to work today and we spent extra time with her and Sable (their Australian Shepherd) before leaving.  Before we could get away the neighbor, Norbert, the one who mows their lawn, gave us a bunch of tomatoes and cucumbers to take with us.  They have a wonderful garden, except they don't have any peas, they were always after us to pick tomatoes, it looks like they are having a bumper crop this year.

The front left jack started beeping and it wouldn't quit.  We didn't have any place to pull over and the damn beeping was driving us crazy so we finally just had to pull to the side of the road which was fairly narrow and didn't leave much room for passing.  While we were stopped an OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) officer pulled up.  Dalton told him we were having problems with the Jack but that it seemed to be OK now.  The officer said "oh, I thought you were having lunch and I was going to join you" then he just drove off.  Strange things happen on the country roads in Ontario.

We found an RV Park in our Passport America book so thought we would try it out.  A nice place called North Shore Park, its on Wellers Bay outside a Town called Carrying Place (strange name).  It is very close to Trenton, the big Air Force Base.  We may just go the the Air Force Museum tomorrow.  Dalton has been having back issues so we may have to find a Chiropractor before we do anything else.

  1. Aunty Kay spent the whole last week in Toronto (Aug 29 - Sept 6) and said the heat and humidity almost did her in. She's now glad to be back in dry as dust Alberta. Sounds like you're having a wonderful time. I'm jealous. Next year we move around or else. Itchy feet have I.
