July 30 and 31
We left Vernon and had a very pleasant trip to Golden where we stayed at the Golf Course so Dalton could get a game in.  The spot was one that we had stayed at before, now they have about 20 spots with only a few in use.  Weather was great so there should have been no complaining, however, there are always mosquitoes.

We did stop along the way to take a few pictures:
Mt. Norquay

What a nice looking RV

Wonder who the guy is in the middle of my scenery shot
We rushed to get to Lethbridge before everyone left, our delay in getting started threw a monkey wrench in the works.  We made it around late afternoon, pulled into the Campground in the River valley.  We had 2 free nights courtesy of Arbutus RV Sales.  Our spot was 4 spaces away from Bill and Carol-Leah.   They had tickets to Cirque d' Solet (sp) so Barry Fritz offered to babysit us for the evening.  It was a good thing he offered as we wouldn't have seen them this trip as they were heading to Edmonton to see their grandchildren.

I had never seen black petunias and Karen's gardens are so lovely

August 3 - 6
We were invited to join the Ell Family Reunion...Carol-Leah's mother's family.  Everyone was camping at Enchant Park and as I know most of them we decided to take them up on their offer.  We had a blast.  All the RVs parked in a circle, there were picnic table in the middle.  There were swimming pools blown up for the kids to play in.  There was no water really close by so everyone donated a hose which Bill joined together so they didn't have to haul it in buckets.  Each night we had a campfire with marshmallow and hot dog roasting as well as guitar playing and we were serenaded by Lori's husband Darrel and Tracy's husband Allan.  Much fun was had by all.
They put up tents to shade to pools but it was still 34 degrees

Even the neighbours lent hoses

Bill and Carol-Leah enjoying the shade

Carol(Carol-Leah's Mom) and Aunty Kay also enjoying the shade and the conversation

Pat and Lloyd came out for one evening, they stayed with us, wish they could have stayed longer

Tracy in her infinite wisdom, purchased a whole bunch of water guns, the fight was on, some of us adults were able to stay away from the fracus, however, many did not.  She also purchased a slip and slid along with numerous cans of shaving cream...this is the result...
They seemed to have a lot of fun.  Dalton thought the slide should have been longer

Lucky there was still water in the pool to clean them off.

I guess I didn't get any pictures of the water fight, I know I was trying to stay under the radar.

We really had a wonderful time, we must have behaved ourselves as Janie invited us to the one next year.  Don't know if we have the stamina for that. We were really sad to leave but new adventures are on the horizon.
